The Virginia Beach Technical & Career Education Center (Tech Center, 2925 N Landing Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23456) is celebrating its 50th anniversary with an open house reunion on Wednesday, March 29, from 6-8 p.m., for all students and staff both past and present. The Tech Center opened its doors in September 1972 to provide career-training opportunities for students in grades 11 and 12. Over the past 50 years, the Tech Center has maintained focus on career preparation and employability for its students and continues to evolve to meet the demands of the ever-changing workforce. Having served more than 40,000 students, the Tech Center currently has 682 students enrolled in programs for the 2022-23 school year.

The mission of Linkhorn Park Elementary School, in partnership with the entire community and families, is to provide a positive learning environment that encourages rigorous academic achievement, and social responsibility. The students of Linkhorn Park will be prepared to be innovative and creative participants in a global community.
About Us
Linkhorn Park Elementary, located about a 1/4 mile east of the Hilltop section in Virginia Beach opened for the 1955-1956 school year with an enrollment of approximately 600 students. During its first year, Linkhorn Park Elementary served students in grades one through eight. Since then, Linkhorn has grown considerably, reaching a peak in 1961 with an enrollment of 1,150 students. In 1967, an addition was made to the Linkhorn Park library and the PTA helped supply books, materials and equipment.
On March 12, 1997 a ground breaking ceremony was held for the construction of a new school, located on First Colonial Road near Virginia Beach General Hospital. The building was dedicated on December 7, 1999. Linkhorn Park Elementary is organized as a square floor plan with three clustered classroom wings housing 30 general classrooms, special education classrooms, teacher’s workrooms and various service facilities.
